CONGRESS DISTRICT 17 Which number will be higher? The number of votes Joel Vanlandingham receives or the number of words allotted to him by the corporate press? On Tuesday, Vanlandingham told the San Jose Mercury News he will move within the current 17th District boundaries, whether he fails to advance to the November election or not. Rep. Mike Honda should do the same, said Vanlandingham…Khanna’s campaign filed a compliant letter with the Office of Congressional Ethics over three mailers sent by Honda’s office using franking privileges. News of the mailers, though, is old. Curiously, a story in San Jose Inside, which tucked the item into the end of an unrelated issue in late March, came days before the last campaign finance filings were released. The same report is due to be released tomorrow…Honda’s campaign says it will have over $1 million in cash on hand when finance reports are released.
STATE SENATE DISTRICT 10 There is a mailer from Mary Hayashi charging Bob Wieckowski with spending $500,000 in negative advertising against her campaign. Ironically, surveillance video of Hayashi’s shoplifting incident from 2011 may be doing far more damage to her campaign and at much less cost.
ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 16 Although far less titillating, but labor is also going hard at Orinda Councilmember Steve Glazer. A press release noted Glazer received $4,100 in campaign contributions from some Big Labor’s most bitter enemies, including the Walmart. In a race flooded with special interest money to the tune of over $2.7 million, the irony of a mega-corporation sporting the tag line of the “low price leader” is not lost on many.
ALCO SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS Naomi Eason, a former employee of the Alameda County Board of Education, who left at odds with the current superintendent, Shelia Jordan, received the endorsement of the East Bay Express…Check your caller I.D. San Leandro Councilmember Ursula Reed, one of the five candidates to replace Jordan, is planning robo-calls to Alameda County voters in seven different languages.
My family voted for Tim Sbranti and here's why:
Steve Glazer is a political consultant who was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars by a corporate interest group funded by tobacco companies, oil companies, real estate developers, pharmaceutical and insurance companies. If elected to to the state legislature Glazer would work to pass laws that benefit them and rubber stamp their issues.
Tim Sbranti in contrast, is a statewide leader in education, a classroom teacher and effective local leader. Under his fiscal leadership he transformed Dublin from a city suffering from serious budget deficits into a city with a budget surplus, without sacrificing major cuts to community services.

That guy Branti is bought and paid for by the corrupt special interest union whores. He's the dirty unions choice in 2014!
Why the hell would anyone put that crooked fox in the hen house? He'll bankrupt CA and give it all away to the union whores, who are supporting him and continue screwing the rest of us.
That's why my family voted for CLEAN STEVE GLAZER 2014. Steve has done amazing things in his city to bring people together on issues, rather than tear them apart like Branti. That's why Steve is supported by just about all the consumer groups, senior groups, environmental groups, etc.

Tim sounds to me like the people's choice and the clean candidate.

We believe that teachers belong in the classroom. To that end, we will be voting for clean STEVE GLAZER 2014. The future assemblyman knows that, too. We all need to send Steve to Sacramento and his opponent back to the classroom, where he belongs.
Teachers have no business in the capital; that's the place for qualified legislators. Teachers belong in the classroom, implementing the policy that the qualified legislators have passed.
Let's all do our part by supporting clean STEVE GLAZER 2014! He's the PEOPLE'S CHOICE candidate!

To the Glazer Shill: What a Liar you are. Corporations have spent over 2 MILLION on trying to elect Glazer!
Glazer is not clean at all. Looks like the anti-union sexist troll is posting for the corporate lap dog Glazer again. This doesn't make him sound like a breath of fresh air. Glazer sounds like a dirty politician.

My God, the video is running on every local news station at 5:00pm, 6:00pm, 10:00pm and 11:00pm.
Hard to believe EBCitizen has not provided more covered of this bombshell that took place today in the Senate District 10 race.
Not only was the store surveillance shown, but CBS5, KPIX, tied it together with the video of Mary's interview in the SF Chronicle.
The combination of her shown being arrested at the store along with her complete denial of shoplifting in the Chronicle video has to make voters wonder if she is in complete control of her faculties.
