Rep. Eric Swalwell with Israeli P.M. Benjamin
Netanyahu last year.
|
CONGRESS | Earlier on, Rep. Mike Honda sounded like he would be on the 50 or more members of Congress who would skip Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s controversial speech Tuesday morning on Capitol Hill.
Honda said last week that he disagreed with Netanyahu’s opposition to ongoing nuclear disarmament talks between the U.S. and Iran, among other reasons. Honda, though, attended the speech, as did Rep. Eric Swalwell.
Three members of the Bay Area congressional delegation, Reps. Barbara Lee, Jerry McNerney and Zoe Lofgren, were among the 56 members of the House and 9 members of the U.S. Senate who did not attend Netanyahu’s address which criticized the Obama administration’s stance toward nuclear arms negotiations with Iran.
Neither Honda or Swalwell have made any public comments since the speech earlier today. However, Lee weighed-in with a tweet from her campaign Twitter account.
Now is not the time to give up on peace with #Iran.

Thank you, Rep. Swalwell for being such a wonderful friend of Israel and representing the DISTRICT CONSTITUENTS so well, of whom I am one. You are a refreshing and clean alternative to the anti-Israel schmuck who preceded you.

Negotiations should be tried and tested before we go to war for Israel. War is very expensive and nothing was accomplished in Iraq. Israel already has the nuclear bomb but Iran does not, and they are not even close to developing one anytime soon.

Thank you eric for being a good goyim and kissing our prime ministers ass. If you keep behaving we will keep the AIPAC money coming. If you ever disagree with us we will label you an anti-Semite, cut off the cash, and you will not be reelected. Just remember, if it is good for Isreal, it must be good for the U.S.

I am one of his DISTRICT CONSTITUENTS and I do not want us going to war to protect the security of Isreal. Netanyahu is trying to make any deal impossible, so the only option left is war. However, the war will not cost young Isreali lives, it will cost American lives. If Isreal has a problem with Iran let them handle their business and leave us out of it.

Swalwell is owned by the Israel lobby. One of Swalwell's dirty secrets is that when he was first running for Congress in 2012, he posted belligerent comments toward Iran on AIPAC's Facebook page. Swalwell collected as many campaign contributions from the Israel lobby as possible. Then as the November 2012 election against Stark approached, Swalwell erased his anti-Iran comments from AIPAC's Facebook page. He now pretends that he never fanned the flames of a U.S. war against Iran, but the Israel lobby knows exactly where he stands and it's not for the people of Fremont, Hayward, San Ramon or Livermore. I don't trust Swalwell to put America's interests first. Swalwell has sworn allegiance to the Israel lobby. Swalwell should be removed from the House Intelligence Committee. Swalwell should not be entrusted with the nation's secrets when he personally is guilty of duplicity. He is a Likud Party member masquerading as a Bay Area Democrat. Would you trust a politician who makes promises to a narrow special interest group, then engages in an Orwellian attempt to cover up any evidence of those promises? We, the constituents of Swalwell, should demand that he explain why he made those belligerent comments toward Iran on AIPAC's Facebook page in early 2012, then later tried to erase all evidence that he had made such promises. Swalwell = Slimeball.

Swalwell knows he needs the pro-isreal campaign sheckles. The only thing that worries Eric more than appearing less than sufficiency subservient to Israel is his constituents realizing that he is a closet gay
