Why do you refer to John Palau as a “fringe” candidate? He was the only candidate up there on Thursday who talked about the real issues that are bankrupting the City; overtime, pay and pensions. He's the only candidate who wants to look out for the taxpayers. It's an easy choice for me; John Palau. The others are just spokesmen for those who wish to grift off of the taxpayers.

Manuel, the sales tax on an automobile purchase is based on where your residence is, not the city you buy it in.

I like Mayor Santos, personally, not sure San Leandro can take anymore of the establishment, that includes Mrs. Starosciak. Last night, they both proved to be typical. Talked about what they've done, but admit there are problems? Well, they can't seem to fix them. Thanks Sweet Lou for pointing that out. The establishment looked like Elmer Gantry…begging for a job.

Lopez is NOT correct. Sales tax rates do not follow you to where you purchase! San Leandro car dealers must be crapping their pants- buyers will go to Hayward and Oakland to save $$. San Leandro will lose sales to other cities
