‘THE DRUMBEAT OF ENDING THE WAR IS BEING HEARD IN CONGRESS’
No matter your opinion of Oakland Rep. Barbara Lee, there is no denying the political decision she made in the days after 9/11 was a courageous bit of leadership. She will forever be tagged with the moniker of being the only member of Congress to vote against the resolution to invade Afghanistan. The clips below from Democracy Now! contain video of her speech Sept. 14, 2001 and an interview last week with Lee in the aftermath of Osama bin Laden’s death.
