CONGRESS | 15TH DISTRICT | The 113th Congress is the least productive in American history. Instead of passing meaningful legislation, what exactly are they doing in Washington? Apparently, they are placing football bets with each other in elaborate YouTube videos.
East Bay Rep. Eric Swalwell, a 49ers fan, and North Carolina Republican Rep. Robert Pettinger, a Carolina Panthers fan, could have just announced their playful wager over Sunday’s NFC Divisional playoff matchup in Charlotte, with a short press release. If the Panthers win, Pettinger gets wine from the Livermore Valley. If the 49ers win, Swalwell gets Carolina BBQ. Done.
Forget that.
Instead, the congressmen produced the video below featuring insanely bad acting and a scene between Swalwell and his chief of staff that evokes a bad gay porno.
This is not the first time Swalwell dabbled in poor acting. During his 2012 campaign, Swalwell made a cameo in a short film, watch the trailer here, and then there was this fake debate, below, staged by his campaign featuring a young actor posing as a crabby Pete Stark.

According to a Jan.15th Citizen article Swalwell's taking a poll on weather he should extend unemployment benefits to 1.3 million Americans.
Swalwell just do the right thing! You don't need a poll.
I recently watched a movie about a boy who was on a ship that started to sink. Luckily for him, there was a lifeboat he could scramble onto; otherwise, he would have drowned. But what do you do when you’re on a sinking ship—and there is no lifeboat?
Unemployment insurance benefits have been a lifeboat for millions of families in an economy that often feels like it’s sinking fast. Rather than extend these benefits, House Republicans made the choice to jump ship and go on holiday break, letting these vital benefits expire for our neighbors, friends and family members who have lost their jobs. We can’t just watch from afar while fellow Americans struggle to stay afloat. We have to get them that lifeboat.
Check the box and tell Swalwell to extend unemployment benefits.
I’ve been unemployed. And I can tell you from experience, the bills don’t stop just because you’re not getting a regular paycheck. These benefits make sure job seekers can keep the lights on and, just like a lifeboat, keep them afloat until they find employment.
Our job market still is bearing the weight of the Wall Street-induced financial meltdown. We’ve seen workers losing their jobs across the board—from health care and education to construction and government—through no fault of their own. These are the men and women who make America work and now they’re drowning. Shouldn’t we give them that lifeboat?

This is why my family will be voting for Ellen Corbett. Swalwell voted to cut off benefits to 1.3 million Americans. He has no heart. Read below:
Yet still, as the new year begins, the foes of workers and the middle class are committed to stealing our pensions, outsourcing public services, dismantling workers' rights, and giving tax breaks to corporations and the super rich.
They just left 1.3 million Americans out in the cold right after Christmas by cancelling unemployment benefits because they said our country can't afford it. We can't afford not to support these struggling job seekers — morally or economically. This will push many into poverty and homelessness, costing our economy a lot more in the long term. That's why we're pressing Congress to do the right thing now and renew federal unemployment insurance.
Unions brought us the weekend and the 40-hour work week. Unions created the middle class. And unions are essential for protecting it — and saving America from those who are all too happy to sacrifice democracy for the sake of profit. There is a direct relationship between labor union density and income inequality. In short, when unions are strong, everyone benefits.

Talked to a lot of people who were at the Hayward Demos potluck and meeting. Almost all said Ellen Corbett was more impressive than Swalwell and she seemed more sincere. You can bet your life the Hayward Demos will support Ellen.

Don't know what the above poster is talking about. I was at the meeting and Ellen gave much better answers than the incomplete ones Eric gave. Her response from the audience was much betters than Eric's too. The person above must be his staffer who was there. Ellen is sure to get the Hayward Demo's endorsement based on what I saw last Friday night when they both spoke. This Hayward resident is voting for Ellen Corbett.

First 1:1 appearance of Eric and Ellen at Hayward Demos mtg on Friday. Ellen said: “I don't know” to many basic questions about state issues while Eric was very knowledgeable. This Hayward resident is staying with Eric.

As pointed out in the Dec 12th and Dec 17th articles in the EBCitizen, Swalwell has done something even more foolish than these videos.
Shame on Swalwell for cutting off benefits for 1.3 million Americans. The extension of federal benefits was started by Bush and continued by both parties when the unemployment rate was this high.
It's about real people, people with families struggling to meet mortgage payments, struggling to put food on the table, to make ends meet, and includes 200,000 military veterans among those folk who are losing their benefits.
This is why my friends and I will be voting for Ellen Corbett this year….she has a heart and cares about the 90% of us who aren't rich too.

The Swalwell supporter who keeps posting is not mainstream. No moderate talks like that. You're one of the Tea Baggers that Swalwell courted to get elected. You are not representative of the district.
Swalwell came in and the right time, right place and made a deal with you Tea Baggers. Now you have to deal with Corbett who's has a long history of supporting the middle and lower class. And she knows how to campaign. The super majority who are compassionate with all their neighbors and want to see an effective person represent them will vote for Corbett.
