Rep. Eric Swalwell and Roger Stone.

15TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
Roger Stone, President Trump’s dapper raconteur, has called East Bay Rep. Eric Swalwell a “mannequin,” a “lightweight,” and a yellow-belied coward.

On Tuesday morning Stone will meet Swalwell and other Democrats at a House Intelligence Committee hearing into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia.

Stone and Swalwell squared off in March before the first of at least two occasions when the former Trump campaign adviser was set to stand before the House Intelligence Committee.

He called Swalwell a “punk ass coward” during one exchange. The three-term congressmember responded with, “Why don’t you show up & explain why you helped Russia. See you there!” Swalwell tweeted last March.

In July, Stone was scheduled to appear before the committee until his testimony was postponed until after the August recess. But not before Stone told a radio station he doubted Swalwell had the courage to question him face-to-face.

“I don’t think he will show. But if he does show, he will regret it for the rest of his life,” Stone told Bloomberg.

However, it’s anyone’s guess who Stone will attempt to skewer during his testimony on Tuesday, but his penchance for extreme bravado is highly likely. Unfortunately, Stone’s testimony will occur in closed session.

Newsweek, meanwhile, reported on Monday that Stone already took out knives for another California congressmember who has been highly critical of the Trump administration and allegations it colluded with Russia during last year’s presidential election.

Stone inelegantly referred to California Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intel Committee, as “Schiff-head.”
