BART to LIVERMORE extension fails; Raburn, Saltzman, Simon oppose

A long-proposed $1.6 billion BART extension to Livermore was narrowly voted down by the BART Board of Directors late Thursday night in Oakland.

East Bay BART representatives Rebecca Saltzman, Robert Raburn, and Lateefah Simon voted against the extension, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Additionally, East Bay BART directors from east and south county voted in favor, including John McPartland, Tom Blalock.
