Editor’s Note

The East Bay Citizen is partnering with the East Bay Express. It’s big news. But don’t worry. Nothing will change here at EBCitizen.com. I’ve been an East Bay Express contributor for eight years. Now you will see more EBC content in the pages of the Express. In addition, I’m now authoring the daily Briefing, posted online at EastBayExpress.com every weekday morning at 6 a.m., and the Seven Days column in the weekly paper. The partnership means two other things: an expansion of coverage in the Express for news deserts south of Oakland and office space for me in Jack London Square. (But, you’ll still find me writing in coffee shops from time to time.)
