Eric Swalwell had 60 minutes of CNN air time to introduce himself to voters Sunday night. However, those without a DVR, likely watched Game 2 of the NBA Finals, which started at the same time. But those who tuned in to the CNN town hall heard Swalwell back an economic boycott of Georgia over a proposed abortion law, hedge on impeachment at this time, and disagree with Bernie Sanders that incarcerated individuals should not have the right to vote.

In response to a question on health care, Swalwell said allowing Medicare for anyone who wants it is why he’s running for Congress… Huh? Swalwell quickly corrected himself to say president.

But the verbal gaffe was noticed by some in the East Bay who believe Swalwell will ultimately end his presidential campaign sometime this year, at least, before December, and run again in the 15th Congressional District.
