Castro Valley resident Pam Russo was appointed by the Eden Health District Board of Directors to replace Megan Lynch, the first-term director who recently resigned to attend medical school.

Russo is the currently director of the Hayward Area Recreational and Parks District Foundation and a former St. Rose Hospital nurse and administrator.

“At an unprecedented time in public health, the Board is grateful that Pam Russo stepped forward to serve as a Director,” said Gordon Galvan, the chair of the Eden Health District Board of Directors. “She brings a wealth of experience in the field of health care and deep knowledge of the health needs of our community.”

Lynch, was elected in 2016, meaning Russo will need to run in the November general election to secure a full four-year term.
