A former legislative aide to State Sen. Bob Wieckowski filed a complaint against the state Senate that alleges her firing last year came after reporting to the Legislature that she was raped by an Assembly staffer in December 2016, according to Sacramento Bee.
The former aide was terminated last September for what the complaint describes as “minor work performance issues.”
After reporting the alleged rape to the Assembly H.R., an investigation into the matter resulted in no resolution, according to the complaint.
The former aide said after one lengthy interview with investigators last year that she made an attempt on her own life after receiving a line questioning suggesting the alleged incident might be her own fault.
Wieckowski nor his staff appear to be part of the complaint, according to the Sacramento Bee.
